You can add your SENEC battery storage system of the V4, E4 or P4 generation. SENEC provides an interface called SENEC.Connect that transmits your meter data directly to us. For this you need a personal API key, which you create once in the SENEC developer portal.
Do you own a SENEC V1, V2 or V3? Then please follow the guide SENEC V1-V3.
The SENEC developer portal is in German. The labels in square brackets below are shown exactly as they appear in the portal.
1. Sign in to the SENEC developer portal
Open developer.senec.com and click [Anmelden] (sign in) in the top right corner. If you do not have an account yet, click [Registrieren] (register) on the sign-in page.
Important: Register with the same email address you use for your SENEC account (SENEC app or mein-senec.de). This is the only way SENEC can link your system to the key.
2. Select the product
Click [Produkte] (products) in the menu and open the product [SENEC.Data 45000].
3. Create a subscription
Scroll down on the product page. Enter a name for your subscription, for example HEMS, tick the box for the [Nutzungsbedingungen] (terms of use) and click [Abonnieren] (subscribe).
The subscription allows up to 45,000 requests per month. Use the key only for your HEMS and not in other applications as well, otherwise the quota may run out before the end of the month.
4. Copy the API key
Click [Profil] (profile) in the menu. Your new subscription is listed under [Abonnements] (subscriptions). Use the eye icon to show the [Primรคrschlรผssel] (primary key) and the icon next to it to copy it to the clipboard.
Treat the key like a password and do not share it with anyone.
5. Add SENEC with us
Add a new metering system in the app and select [SENEC.Connect (E4/P4)] as the manufacturer. Paste the copied primary key into the [SENEC.Connect API-Schlรผssel] (API key) field and then select your system.
If you own a battery storage system, it will also be detected automatically.
If your key is not accepted or the app cannot find a system, please check that your subscription is shown as [Active] in your profile and that you registered in the developer portal with the email address of your SENEC account.
