AVM offers a way to smartly control electrical devices with its FRITZ!DECT smart plugs. Through our integration, you can control these devices based on your PV surplus or dynamic tariff price signals. You can also use them to monitor energy consumption or the generation of your mini-PV system.

⚠️ Notes

Requires Fritz!Box version 7.57 or higher.

Requires IPv4 access - If you do not have one, please request it from your provider.

Due to our access, warning emails may be sent to the registered MyFritz! address. These can be disabled.

Preparation

For Fritz!Dect to function, the Fritz!Box must be reachable via an IPv4 address.

The Fritz!Dect 200 or Fritz!Dect 210 smart plugs must be connected to the Fritz!Box.

Since Fritz!Dect smart plugs are initially only accessible locally during setup, you must configure specific settings to make them accessible via the internet. This is done in two steps.

1. A MyFritz! account must be created and registered in the Fritz!Box. This makes the smart plugs available to us.
2. A Fritz!Box user with permissions for Smart Home and Internet must be set up in the Fritz!Box.

Integration Steps

Creating a MyFritz! account:

Create a MyFritz! account and register it in your Fritz!Box according to steps one and two of the official AVM documentation. After setup, the MyFRITZ! internet access must be configured. A successful configuration in the Fritz!Box might look like this:

1. "Your MyFRITZ! address" must be entered completely in the app.
2. The username must be created under System > Fritz!Box Users.

⚠️ After setting up internet access, scroll down and check the box [✔] for [Use certificate from letsencrypt.org (recommended)]. Then click [Apply].

Creating a FRITZ!Box user:

In the second step, a user must be created. Follow step three of the official AVM documentation. This creates a user that allows us to connect to the Fritz!Box to control the devices.

Create a new user for this purpose:

• Username: MaxMustermann
• Password: Use a secure password
• Check the box [✔] for [Smart Home]
• Check the box [✔] for [Access from the internet allowed]

A new entry has been added under [Fritz!Box Users] -> [Users]. A successful configuration might look like this:

Integration

The following information, which should already be stored in the Fritz!Box, is required for integration:

• Username
• Password
• MyFritz! internet access including port information

Now select the device:

Select and create switch settings:

 

 

You may receive emails from your Fritz!Box when we authorize ourselves to access your switch.
This can be easily disabled.

4. Click on Email notifications and disable "Logins to your FRITZ! device from the internet"
