Webasto Next

Webasto Provides a modern wall box that can be connected and controlled to our backend via the OCPP interface.

 

1. Preparation

  • Internet connection of the Wallbox
    • Connect your Webasto Wallbox to your home network (LAN or WLAN).
      Deactivate the unused connection in the menu, otherwise there may be problems!
    • Update the Wallbox to the latest firmware. 
  • Provide access data and manual
    • Get the manual of the Wallbox for the master password (standard password) and the login data.
  • Reset the Wallbox 
    • The factory settings of the Wallbox set under the point 'Load Management' in the section 'Hems-DLM'

2. Activation of the OCPP backend

  1.  
    • Possibility 1: About the router
      • Open the administration menu of your router.
      • Find the IP address of the Wallbox. It can be recognized by a device name with "NEXT-" begins.
    • Possibility 2: About the WLAN hotspot of the Wallbox
      • The WLAN network begins with "NEXT-".
      • Connect this network. You can find the WLAN key in the manual of the Wallbox.
      • As soon as you are connected, you can make the settings directly via the hotspot connection.
  2. Access to the web interface
    • Enter the IP address of the Wallbox in your browser (e.g. http: //192.168.x.xx).
    • Register with the following standard login data:
      • Username: admin
      • password: The master password from the manual.
  3. Configure the backend settings
    • Change in the web interface to the tab "Backend".
    • Wear the OCPP URL that is shown in your app in the field "Connection URI" a.
    • Save the changes.
  4. Restart of the wall box
    • Restart the wall box so that the settings become effective.

3. Integration of the wall box

  1. Waiting for the registration
    • After the restart, it can be up to 10 minutes It is time for the Wallbox to register with the OCPP-BACKEND.
    • As soon as the connection is established, the wall box should be displayed in the app.
  2. Make settings in the app
    • Select the wall box in the app.
    • Configure the remaining settings via the app.
  3. Test connection
    • Start a charging process to ensure that the Wallbox communicates correctly with the OCPP baking.
    • The loading process is now visualized in the app.
