The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is an application protocol for communication between charging points for electric vehicles and supplementary central management systems (CMS).
The protocol was originally developed by Joury de Reuver and Franc Buve and is now managed by the Open Charge Alliance - a non -profit organization based in the Netherlands.
With OCPP, operators can monitor, control, configure and update e-charging points and also process payments and bills. The protocol is open, patent and license-free.
Preparation
To your OCPP Wallbox It is necessary to connect with us to activate the OCPP backend of the Wallbox.
Before starting the facility you have to connect to the internet And install the latest updates.
To set up the OCPP backend, access to the Wallbox is necessary.
If you put on the wallbox with us, then you will be your individual in the Wallbox menu OCPP-URL displayed.

Setting up the OCPP URL in the Mennekes
Step 1: Open the Mennekes Webui
Open a web browser on your laptop and enter the IP address of your Mennekes charging station in the address bar. The Mennekes dashboard is displayed.
Step 2: Register on the Mennekes dashboard
Enter your username and password to register on the dashboard.
Step 3: Navigate to the "Backend" tab
Click the "Backend" tab on the left side of the screen.
Step 4: Change the OCPP-URL
Find the "Websockets JSON OCPP URL of the Backend" field and enter the new OCPP URL.
Please make sure that the name of the Wallbox does not contain space "or underlined" _ ". Otherwise the control will not work.
Step 5: Save the changes
Click the "Save" button to save your changes.
Step 6: Restart the charging station
Restart the charging station so that the changes become effective.
Integration
When you have completed this configuration, it can take up to 10 minutes for your wall box to register. As soon as the connection to your Wallbox is established, it will appear in the dropdown under yours OCPP-URL.
Now you can make the remaining wall box settings and save your wall box.
