Connect to the Wallbox via the web interface
To establish the connection via web interface with the Wallbox, you must proceed as follows:
- Make sure that your end device is located in the same local network as the Wallbox. There must be a DHCP server in the local network through which the Wallbox can obtain its IPV4 addresses.
- To create access to the web interface, there are two options:
-By entering the "Wallbox network name" https: // KWBXX (XX = 10-digit serial number of the Wallbox) → Example: https: // KWGG0Q1234567
- By entering the well-known IPV4 address of the Wallbox → Example: https://192.168.10.22 - Information in the browser comes about a possible security risk. Accept the risk and click Next.
- Then enter the operator password that you can find out to the supplement.
- Now you are connected to your wall box via web interface. After successfully connecting to the Wallbox, you have the option of making various settings on your wall box. Software update via web interface
- Open the WallBox web interface
- Under Settings> Open update
- The overview below appears
- If there is a new software version, it can be updated on the WallBox by pressing the "Download version XXXXX version XXXXX". This type of update only works if the wall box is connected to the Internet.
- In addition, the Wallbox software can also be updated manually by pressing the "File ..." button. The current software can be under www.kathrein-emobility.de be downloaded.
Add OCPP URL
In the main menu, click on "Settings"
Click on "Ocpp"
Copy the OCPP URL from our app and enter it under "URL of the backend system". Example: "WSS: //Cleverpv-Ocpp.azureWebsites.net/ocpp/xxxxxx".
Place the "Security Level" at level 2 - with authentication and set a password.
Then press "Save".
After a restart, the Wallbox automatically connects to us, which can take a few minutes. Maybe a charging process must also be started so that the Wallbox connects us for the first time.
As soon as the connection to your Wallbox is established, it will appear in the dropdown menu under your OCPP URL.

Now you can make the remaining wall box settings and save your wall box.
